Bruntons is a craft beer bar and restaurant near Chinatown in Yokohama. It is a really cool place that has a very unique aspect; it is a vegetarian restaurant at the same time. They have a lot of vegetarian and vegan dishes and it is was a really cool place to be.

Of course my main goal for Bruntons was the craft beer. They have a lot of great beers that are focused on small company drafts with some imported bottles. The selection was really nice and well curated for the area. I found beers and breweries that I had not heard of from before and was excited to try them.

For food, one of their specialties is the hummus and pita bread. I believe it is all made in house, but the hummus is definitely made in house. It was very delightful and I really enjoyed it. I could easily enjoy several orders of this without question. My friend also had the tofu burger and while I was a bit skeptical, he did say it was pretty good and I have heard from other people that it was good. I’ll definitely have to try it next time I visit.

Bruntons is a very chill place. It is a place that I would go on an afternoon to just relax, or even at night as a place to be by myself and do nothing. The owners are friendly enough that you can strike up a conversation with them if they are not busy. If you are in Ishikawacho and in need of a place to relax a bit, you can’t go wrong with Bruntons.
