HinoMaple’s Concierge Services

Today we talk about my new company that was started at the end of last year.  The main service that I am offering through my company is concierge services.  This is a way to help you do everything you could ever want in Japan.  Services are all completely personalized and it takes away the pain of planning your own trip.  If you are a busy person or you just want some advice on what you can and should do in Japan, consider our concierge services.

Advice

For many people, visiting a new country is a daunting task.

• How long should you spend in each city?
• How do you get to each city?
• What sights should you see?
• Do I have enough time to do everything?
• What should I eat?

I will help you do everything you could ever want.  You no longer have to worry about whether you’ll have enough time in each area or not.  Based on your own travel preferences, we’ll customize an itinerary for you so that you can do things on your own.

Transportation

Part of the advice is to know how to get from A to B without the hassle.  There are a lot of resources online in both Japanese and English but allow us to help you plan things in more detail.  I will personally use my own 8+ years of experience to determine how much time you really need to transfer from one line to another as well as consider other travel options that you may not have thought of.  Why bother pricing out whether you need a JR Pass or not when I will do it for you.  I will also find any and all relevant day passes to help make your trip easier.  Full itineraries will be provided to you based on your package.

Hotels

We don’t provide booking services for hotels but we do provide excellent advice on the best areas to stay and also aid in helping you decide which hotel would be best for you.  We provide links to any websites that can be useful for you to book your own hotel and we can confirm if your travel agent’s advice is correct or not.  Many overseas travel agents haven’t had the experience of living in Japan and may not know the areas as well as we do.  Having lived in Tokyo for 8+ years, I have grown to understand the best places for anyone based on what their preferences are.

Weather

How many travel agents give you real weather advice before a trip?  Leading up to your trip and prior to your trip we will send reminders on what the weather is like, including seasonal forecasts.  Since we are in Japan and we have spent several years here, we have all of the experience needed to read the weather and be able to tell you what it will probably be like.  If you plan to hike Mt. Fuji, or try to see it, we can send you weather updates while you are in Japan so that you can plan your trip to see that majestic mountain accordingly.

Last Second Questions

You will be given access to my personal e-mail address where I will be able to receive your questions immediately.  While I may need a few hours to reply, I will do so ASAP.  You can even ask questions during and after your trip.  See something interesting?  Want to know where you can get it?  Just ask.  Need help knowing who was in an advertisement that you saw in public, just ask.  My e-mail is open to you for an entire year from the date you sign up so you can ask questions even when you return and go through all of the pictures you will take.

Emergencies

While we are busy with many different jobs, you can put your mind at ease knowing that we are here to help you in case you have a real emergency.  We will make every effort to be available to you during your trip, unless we have an engagement that prevents us from helping you.  Feel relaxed that you can get whatever information you need in a timely manner.

Airport Pickup

Coming into Japan from North America or Europe is not an easy task.  Japan isn’t very far from the west coast of N. America but it is a long flight to get to Europe and the east coast.  You will be tired and excited but things will be a bit hazy at the same time.  If you take a red eye flight, things will be even more difficult.  We can help you deal with everything you need to deal with after you get out of the secure area.  We prepare everything you need and help you book any tickets you need as well.  This door to door service gets you to your hotel, checked in, and a quick walk around the hotel so you can get acquainted with your area.  You will even get a personalized map of your hotel’s area with highlighted places so you can get snacks when in need.

Day Concierge Services

Whether you come to Japan for a few days, a few weeks, or even just a day, your time is limited.  We take away the thinking so you can enjoy your trip.  We will ensure you get to every destination you wish to visit and will accompany you if you’d like.  We will show you to different places and adjust to your needs, including showing you a few secrets that I have discovered exploring Tokyo.  Never worry about what you will eat either as we will order for you and make sure you know what you are eating.

Business Concierge Services

Coming to Japan for business?  Need to find that office for a meeting?  We will make sure you don’t get lost!  Tokyo is a very confusing city with addresses that don’t make sense to the locals.  Based on the addresses you have, we will look them up and get you to your meetings on time.  Between meetings, if there is time, we will ensure you get to see some of the sights around Tokyo as well.  We will help you buy all of the gifts you need to make sure your family and friends get exactly what they want.

Disclaimer

We strive to do the best job possible and make your trip enjoyable and unique.  We are also human and we do make mistakes.  We would never do anything that would put your life in danger and we will always make sure you understand the risks involved.  If you want a delicacy or you want to eat Fugu, Japanese puffer fish, we will tell you that it can be dangerous but in most cases it is perfectly safe.  We cannot guarantee your safety but we will do our best to make sure you don’t get into any trouble.
