This year the cherry blossoms bloomed very early. It feels as if the cherry blossoms are blooming earlier and earlier every year and 2018 was no exception. With my current work, I wasn’t really able to go out and have a lot of fun. I was able to get a lot of great photos of beer with the cherry blossoms but I didn’t have time to go anywhere new. I really wish I had more time but at least I was able to get one party in this year.
My usual haunts for the cherry blossoms are basically anywhere near my house. I usually go to Kinshi Park to enjoy them and this year I mainly got to see them after going to the gym. It was enough but I worry that I will be enjoying the cherry blossoms less and less every year.
The most fun I had for the cherry blossoms was visiting my friend John over at Only in Japan. He had a Meetup with his fans and I was lucky enough to have a day off on both days. It was good to see him but as with any big group it is difficult to find time to talk with him when his fans were so happy to see him. It is great to see people see the guy I am honoured to call a friend. You can even see me on his livestream at the Kitanomaru Park. I am on from 1:49, 12:40, and 32:05. You will also see me throughout the video in the background.
My final cherry blossom party was a mixture of a friend’s barbecue and John’s second Meetup in Yoyogi Park. We missed the end of cherry blossoms by a couple days as there was nothing left at all, just a lot of stems blowing off the trees. While the cherry blossoms were gone, it was still a lot of fun to try various chips in Japan. You can see me from 1:56, 5:29, and 6:30 as I try the amazake chips!
Hope you enjoy the rest of the photos!
