TBT – Sakura in Shinjuku Chuo Koen (Kumano Shrine)

I was catching up on some blogs and Kaori of Kaori Square Feet posted about Kumano Shrine in Shinjuku.  I know it very well and was taken back to when I lived in the area years ago.  I posted about it in 2009 (Sakura) but didn’t really know a lot about it.  It was also near the start of this blog so I really didn’t have a good flow.  You can really see how this blog has developed since then.

Either way, I didn’t want to post a link to that post only, so I am digging into my archives and pulling some of the best pictures from 2009.  I spent the afternoon just walking around with my camera and just enjoying the cherry blossoms.  Things started off at Kumano Shrine’s entrance, as you can see above.  I then have one of my favourite cherry blossom photos ever, below.  After that photo, check out the captions for more information.
